
Alex Preston
Film and television producer Alex Preston was born and raised in the state of Georgia. The son to competitive dance studio owner Candy Preston, Alex grew up in dance and entertainment. He trained in dance from age 3 to adult and is a dance team instructor and choreographer.

Alex’s passion for film first emerged as a child. After several years of experimenting with film editing, Alex landed his first job as a television editor and camera operator at the age of 15. Two years later, he graduated high school and went on to earn two degrees in production.

In 2013, he earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double-major in Media Studies and Theatre from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. In 2019, he completed a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2017, Alex directed Good Girl Winnie Foster, a music video featuring Broadway lead actress of Tuck Everlasting the musical Sarah Charles Lewis.

For his direction of Good Girl Winnie Foster, Alex Preston became an Emmy nominee at the 2018 Student Production Awards hosted by National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast.
